For one of the two storefront spaces on the street, the client wanted the creation of their pizza to be highlighted for people walking along the sidewalk. The kitchen was moved to the street side, allowing the access for customers from the shared courtyard eating area. The roof of the shell building was sandblasted and skylights were added to bring daylight into the central space. The eating area was defined with a standing food and drink rail, highlighted with a perimeter of pendant lights to give Triple Beam a unique presence in the overall courtyard space. Inside the kitchen, the long Roman-style pizzas are laid out for selection and cutting on a butcher block top.
